Activist Heart: Anne Feeney By Elizabeth Ross, philosophicalmother
"The next time I was arrested was in 1994 at the Staley strike in Decatur, IL. In the meantime I had received a lot of training in non-violent resistance and civil disobedience, and had been to hundreds of demonstrations. I had been support for other groups doing CD. Since I usually had my PA and guitar at these kinds of actions I was never a likely candidate for arrest... I had too many other responsibilities. That day in Decatur I was just so fed up that I handed my guitar to some Teamsters and just went and laid down in an intersection. That struggle was very frustrating, and ended badly."
