02/26/2003 | Bush's Relationship With Hoffa Crumbles The relationship President Bush has tried to build with Teamsters Union President James P. Hoffa is showing cracks.
"Relations are becoming more polarized than they probably have been at any time," says Chuck Mack, an official close to Hoffa. "To the extent we can, we will continue to work with them. But I would suggest it's becoming more and more difficult to do that."
Teamster officials said Wednesday that Hoffa is increasingly angry over what he believes are anti-union policies and tactics pursued by the administration.
