    Labor Movement Fractured over Politics LaborTalk by Harry Kelber
    The Partnership, when it was originally endorsed by the AFL-CIO Executive Council on Feb. 25, was conceived as an allied political organization that would mobilize millions of non-union workers to register and vote for Democratic candidates. It was not intended to supplant the AFL-CIO, which, as formerly, would continue to focus on getting union households to vote for pro-worker candidates.
