Negotiations give labour peace a chance Dave Coles wasn't sure he heard right when he got word the bosses at pulp-and-paper giant NorskeCanada wanted to talk -- and they weren't looking for concessions.
It was late summer 2002, and as lead West Coast negotiator for the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers union (CEP), Coles knew the collective bargaining agreement with Norske still had a year to run.
