Driving to and from Work Most Dangerous Part of Workday; Workplace Safety Campaign Stresses Positive Actions for Drivers
The most dangerous part of the workday for any employee is the time they spend in their vehicle. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, every 12 minutes someone dies in a traffic crash, every 10 seconds an injury occurs and every 5 seconds a crash occurs. Many of these incidents occur during the workday or during the commute to and from work.
