Hundreds protest Fort Benning school By MIA TAYLOR
Thousands of autoworkers, students, Quakers, nuns, priests and others marched to the entrance of the Army's Fort Benning on Saturday to protest the post's training school for Latin American soldiers.
There, they met patriotic music blaring from the fort's gates. The music, from loudspeakers set up just a few feet behind the stage from which protesters sang and spoke, often drowned out what was being said during the 14th annual demonstration against the Defense Department training facility formerly known as the School of the Americas.------------------------------------------- posted 8:09 AM :: reference link ::
