Teck Cominco News Release
An explosion inside the KIVCET lead furnace at the company's Trail Operations at 6:45 pm, Monday, February 2, 2004 did not result in any injuries to employees.
The explosion has caused extensive damage to the boiler system however the lead furnace appears to be intact. An estimate of the extent of the damage, cost of repair and the time required for repair will not be available for several days, until a full investigation has been completed.------------------------------------------- posted 6:31 PM :: reference link ::
