Manous pleads guilty to taking bribes BY BILL DOLAN, Northwest Indiana News
HAMMOND -- Union carpenters had counted on him to protect their life's savings.
The late Gov. Frank O'Bannon once placed the future of Indiana's Democratic party in his hands.
Peter Manous admitted Thursday he betrayed a lot of trust. He pleaded guilty to eight felony counts that he took part in a conspiracy to accept and pay bribes to win union financing of the controversial Coffee Creek land development.------------------------------------------- posted 6:58 AM :: reference link ::
