Union laborer admits threats, beatings By DAN HERBECK, Buffalo News, NY
A burly construction worker who admits he threatened and beat other workers at Niagara County work sites is the first person to plead guilty in the Laborers Local 91 racketeering case.
Brian Perry, 43, a former steward for the union, told a federal judge Wednesday that he was involved in 'numerous acts of actual and threatened violence' designed to intimidate contractors, non-union workers and members of other labor unions. He also has agreed to cooperate with the prosecution against other union leaders.
