Unions looking to find a role in planning By BILL VIRGIN, Seattle Post Intelligencer
Unions are often called upon to be a part of grand regional coalitions to promote economic development -- but they often feel as though they're regarded as little more than a prop, to be shoved into the wings once the show is over and the audience is gone. 'Please stand here and smile and wave at the camera to prove we're all one big happy and united economic-development family.
