Teachers could be sued for mills' shutdown - CBC British Columbia
A forestry company is taking the B.C. Teachers' Federation and the Steelworkers' Union to the Labour Relations Board following the recent school strike.
Teachers and other union supporters in Trail, B.C. on Oct. 19Tembec claims that striking teachers broke the law when they set up pickets at two Tembec mills in the East Kootenays on Oct. 19, shutting them down for a day.
Because of the teachers' pickets, 150 mill workers - members of the Steelworkers - refused to go to work at the Canal Flats and Elko sawmills.------------------------------------------- posted 5:07 AM :: reference link ::
