There's something else that the skilled construction trades are trying to build these days in the Central Valley: interest from high school students in training for relatively plentiful high-paying jobs.
It appears to be working. Representatives from 17 construction trades set up shop Friday at an electrical union training center in north Stockton to try to convince students that there are good job opportunities to be had via skilled-labor apprenticeships.------------------------------------------- posted 5:45 AM :: reference link ::
