Rooks advises that, in general, if you think you shouldn't wear 'that' to work, don't.
Of course the dress code should fit the job. Professional offices call for stricter standards than casual workplaces. Outdoor jobs differ from indoor jobs. Some positions require uniforms, ranging from law enforcement officers to fast-food workers to Hooters Girls.
When a worker's outfit crosses the line, employee rights lawyer Ada Hammond says it's better for managers of the same gender to counsel them.
