Women Building Futures widens horizons for workers - Jane Cardillo, Freelance, driving.ca
Expected to open next January, it will accommodate 400 women.
Archer calls it the first trades training facility for women in Canada.
Besides a new training centre, the facility will include three floors of affordable housing for students in the program. Some of the suites will be available to women with children.
'She can come here from wherever she lives and come into our program,' says Archer.
'She won't have to worry about her housing and she can concentrate on getting through this program.'
