AK Steel contractor faces fines in worker's death - By Ed Richter, Lebanon Western Star, OH
Buzz Portune, attorney for the company, said the OSHA citations will be contested.

'RMB disagrees with the proposed findings and penalties,' Portune said. 'Since the matter is being contested, it will go before an administrative law judge for a hearing.'

On March 3, 2007, another RMB employee died after a fatal accident similar to the one that occurred Aug. 24.

OSHA issued the citations and fines totally $4,875 on April 23, 2007, which were resolved by RMB on May 17, 2007.

RMB has been working with AK Steel for almost 10 years. The company manages 154 workers who transport steel coils from place to place inside the facility and are charged with doing routine maintenance on the trucks that transport the coils, according to company personnel.
