Harper vows help for trades - By Rob Linke, Telegraph-Journal, Canada Harper, who was making his second stop in the province during this campaign, cited the labour shortages in the skilled trades as evidence Canada's economy was not suffering from anywhere near as severe a slowdown as the United States.
'These guys have a job the day they graduate,' he said.
