Settlement Reached Over Bellevue Crane Collapse Fines - KIROtv.com, WA
SEATTLE -- The state Department of Labor and Industries and the operator of a Bellevue tower crane that collapsed in 2006, killing a man, have reached a settlement over a dispute over safety violations.
The crane operator, Lease Crutcher Lewis, agreed to pay a $9,200 fine and not to appeal the violation. L&I agreed to modify the violation that cited the company for failing to ensure that the crane was inspected and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, L&I said.------------------------------------------- posted 6:57 AM :: reference link ::
