Rock-thrower gets 2 years' probation Maccariella, 40, of Williamstown, was sentenced Friday to two years' probation for throwing a rock at a window of the Adelphia Restaurant in Deptford in December 2001. The incident led to a fight outside the restaurant in which Balis, 46, fell and struck his head. Balis, of Mullica Hill, died the next day.
Maccariella, the president of a local carpenters' union, pleaded guilty in March to one count of criminal mischief, a fourth-degree offense.------------------------------------------- posted 8:19 AM :: reference link ::
