County supervisor has surgery to remove nails from heart: "HATTIESBURG - Stone County supervisor Duncan Hatten was in stable condition Saturday after surgery last week to remove two large carpenter's nails from the left side of his heart.
Hatten, a building contractor, was hurt on Thursday when he tripped at a construction site near Wiggins and fell onto a nail gun.
The gun fired two 16-penny nails, which pierced his sternum and punctured his heart."------------------------------------------- posted 6:54 AM :: reference link ::
