Make-A-Wish gets wish of its own By ERICA ERWIN
Cramped by lack of space in its West 38th Street offices and a lack of funds to do anything about it, Executive Director Jan Stork needed help.
She found it, in the form of union members belonging to local chapters of the Great Lakes Building Trades.
About 15 members representing four different unions agreed to donate not only their time — more than 300 manhours amounting to about $10,000 in labor — but all the materials needed to expand and renovate the organization's offices.
"We couldn't have done it were it not for the unions," Stork said.------------------------------------------- posted 5:35 AM :: reference link ::
