I have been called many names in the years I have worked as a labor journalist and educator, but I’ve never, never been called a “security risk”-- until this week.
It happened in what was supposed to be a friendly environment--a meeting of the AFL-CIO Executive Council at Chicago’s Drake Hotel on Aug. 5-6.
