    Carpenters donate heavily to Dems BY MEGGEN LINDSAY
    If money buys influence, Indiana's carpenters should have a whole lot of it.
    The carpenters union, whose former boss was indicted last month, has donated more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and organizations across the state since 1997, according to records.
