Coffee Creek suit by union By Steve Walsh
HAMMOND — The Indiana Regional Council of Carpenters has filed suit against its former secretary to recover the money lost in the $10 million Coffee Creek land deal now part of a federal indictment.
The carpenters union has filed the civil suit under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and seeks to recover the money Gerry Nannenga unlawfully received in the deal and the amount the pension fund overpaid on the 55 acres in Chesterton.
And, the union seeks the forfeit of Nannenga’s carpenter pension.------------------------------------------- posted 8:28 AM :: reference link ::
