Russians at Hyundai plant get sent home By SHERRI C. GOODMAN
Bob Donaldson, business manager for United Sheet Metal Workers Local 292 in Detroit, said the union threatened to file a grievance when it learned of the Russian workers. "We felt like this was a violation of their agreement with us," he said.
Hyundai spokesman Bill Lang said the Korean automaker requires contractors to use Alabama workers and suppliers to the maximum extent possible. The return of the Russian workers "was a business decision by Durr," he said.------------------------------------------- posted 6:44 AM :: reference link ::
