Breaking down barriers By Linda Lipp, Fort Wayne News-Sentinel
Regina Leffers began thinking even bigger after the May 2001 tornado that caused extensive damage to the Towne House Retirement Community on Washington Center Road. Her brother's business got the drying contract, but didn't have access to the carpentry and other construction workers to bid on the rebuilding portions of the project.
So she created Synergid, naming the company with a word derived from the Greek that means 'working together.'
Synergid is a union contractor, affiliated with Carpenters Local 232, that has done a little bit of everything in its brief 2 year history.------------------------------------------- posted 7:10 AM :: reference link ::
