Teens build impressive homes BY LILLI KUZMA, Pioneer Press Online, IL
Vendafreddo is in his second year in the building homes project and is at a higher level than most students. He also works half-days in an independent study capacity.
'I'm definitely going into construction for a career,' he said. 'This program has been great for me. I went to an employment agency and was told I could get into the carpenters union with the experience I already have. I plan on going into an apprenticeship where I'll be paid while I'm learning.
