Carpenters' union pickets United Scaffolding site By JOHN SURRATT, The Mississippi Press
According to Steven Dummitt, administrative assistant for the South Central Carpenters Regional Council, the union's dispute with United Scaffolding involves the company's reluctance to negotiate with the union, which won an election in August 2003 to represent the carpenters, and claims that the company has since reduced wages and benefits.
A flier distributed by the workers manning the picket claims that United Scaffolding has failed to negotiate in good faith and accuses the company's management of unfair labor practices.------------------------------------------- posted 6:28 AM :: reference link ::
