    Softwood timber prices soon may fall Purchasing Magazine Online
    Note: Due to rising lumber prices, the construction costs of an average-sized house, which contains 14,000 board feet of lumber, has risen around $2,250 since June 2002. That’s why the National Association of Home Builders says: “Although the homebuilders embrace Commerce’s decision, its high time to roll back all the duties on Canadian lumber and end the hidden tax imposed on Americans.”
