Two killed in hit-and-run during protest Newsday.com
An unlicensed driver speeding down a busy highway service road barreled a pickup truck into a group of union carpenters protesting outside a construction site yesterday, killing two and injuring six, police and witnesses said.

David Kresofsky, 41, of Farmingdale, and Gerald Geist, 60, of Copiague were pronounced dead on the scene. They were among the 15 to 20 members of the Long Island Carpenters Local 7 picked to form the protest line that morning at the Bay Shore site, where a new P.C. Richard store is being built.
