Arts center is picketed by union By Katie Nelson, The Arizona Republic
'Unfair labor practice charges have been filed against Okland claiming that they have unlawfully dominated or assisted in a phony union gang going by the name of 'Utah Carpenters Association' in order to avoid paying their pension fund obligations,' the flier reads.
Okland disputes the claim. A letter from Okland said it used to negotiate wages, hours and other terms of employment with the carpenters union in Utah. But the company started to deal with the association instead, recently, after a group of people split off from the union organization.------------------------------------------- posted 12:17 PM :: reference link ::
