Connecticut Jury Awards $2.1 Million to Construction Workers Seriously Injured by Defective Brackets During Installation of Roof PR Newswire
In a product liability case that changed the long-standing Connecticut law of superseding cause and has directly resulted in the manufacture of a safer building product, Kreindler & Kreindler LLP, the New York-based plaintiffs law firm, announced today a jury award of almost $2.2 million for two construction workers permanently injured in a fall due to defective roof brackets. The accident occurred on February 26, 1998, while the carpenters were installing a roof on a building in New Canaan, CT.
