    Cranston RI 2005 The Ty-Rite lanyard was designed to tie back onto itself, an unsafe practice that the industry has preached about for years. The reason? Traditional snap hooks were not designed to withstand the "fall forces" that occur when the gate of the snap hook is loaded.
