Michigan is considered prosperous when our workers' incomes are growing. So why are conservatives and some Republicans so insistent on reducing wages?
This controversy has arisen over the federal and state prevailing wage laws, which maintain construction wages by region according to the 'prevailing' or set level (based on wage surveys).
