Labor unions resurrect their election muscle - By Joe Szczesny, Oakland Press, MI
For unions fighting for relevance in today's economy, the past week brought some welcome news. First, there were the political victories in places like New Jersey and California, where unions turned the tables on "The Terminator" and gave him a whipping he'll long remember.
The victory in California was all the more impressive because it followed the breakup of the AFL-CIO this past summer. A lot of organized labor's political and economic foes had presumed that the split would weaken the union's response to Gov.
