350 attend UAW rally - By Marjory Raymer, MLive.com, MI
'The historic middle class ... is about to be destroyed. It is not just about organized labor,' said Duane Zuckschwerdt, assistant director of UAW Region 1-C. 'I hope that we can wake this country up.'

It's been a grueling few months for local labor, and the tensions showed as the crowd booed at the mere mention of Delphi Chief Executive Officer Steve Miller's name.

Since Delphi declared bankruptcy, it has proposed cutting blue-collar workers' pay and benefits by 65 percent, as well as eliminating thousands of jobs. Delphi unions have threatened to strike.
