Hassles on the Hump: Former foes unite for logging truck stop - By Shayne Morrow, Alberni Valley Times
Standing just metres away from a Western Canada Wilderness Coalition (WC2) banner, Steelworkers Local 1-85 president Monty Mearns noted the irony of watching his members stopping logging trucks along the highway.
'Over the years, we've always said that the (forest) companies would rue the day they turned loggers into tree-huggers. That day is here,' Mearns said.
