Workers Memorial Day remembers those killed, injured on the job - Workday Minnesota
In Minnesota, 80 workers suffered fatal injuries in 2004, the latest year for which complete statistics are available. That was eight more deaths than in 2003, but in line with averages from the previous 10 years.

Nationally, 5,703 workers were killed on the job in 2004. That's the second year in a row workplace deaths have increased -- after declining for five straight years.
