Agreement on Labor Unity in 2006 Election, But Pace to Mobilize Members Is Lagging - LaborTalk By Harry Kelber
Coordination between the two rival federations appears elusive, because in the two months they have been meeting, there has been no public announcement of any kind.
There are philosophic differences between the two groups that make cooperation difficult. The CTW emphasizes organizing, rather than political action as labor's prime activity. It differs with the AFL-CIO in regard to relations with the Democratic Party.
