Geoff Fellows, a training co-ordinator at the carpenters union in Windsor, said some are following Vitali to Alberta, but not enough to impact the construction industry in Windsor.
'We've certainly heard lots of stories of people making great dollars out there. That has been enticement for several people,' he said.
Vitali said he's driving back home in August and hopes to return with a truckload of friends with similar skills.
