Karen Palmer, a consultant with the Winnipeg-based human-resource services firm, said the threat for Manitoba companies of losing people to other jurisdictions, primarily Alberta, has never been greater. But the problem is widespread. She said firms throughout Canada and the United States are facing a "talent challenge."
