Crane crash stalls work on Kananaskis Way project - By Dave Husdal, Canmore Leader, Canada
The crane was attempting to lift a section of roof into place on the far side of the project when it toppled, leaving the crane’s feet partially up in the air and counterweights sitting uselessly against its metal shaft.
The section of roof being lifted was to go on the far side of the project from where the crane was situated, making for more strain on the crane because of how far it had to stretch to deliver the roof section.
“I cannot point the finger at the person who was operating it,” Sidhu said, adding the crane operator was the owner of the framing company.------------------------------------------- posted 6:58 AM :: reference link ::
