Kicking the Tires at Chrysler - by David Welch, BusinessWeek
For the third time in its history, Chrysler is in play. Just days after DaimlerChrysler (DCX) Chairman Dieter Zetsche said the German company would explore all options regarding the fate of its troubled Chrysler Group—including a possible sale—it looks as if a few suitors are interested in some kind of deal.
General Motors (GM) is one, according to a report from Automotive News. But not the only one. One source working closely with Daimler on its options for Chrysler said that a number of interested players have raised their hands to talk about deals with Chrysler that could have myriad terms and conditions.
