Supervisor killed in fall at hotel construction site - By Bill Michelmore, The Buffalo News NY
The mostly non-union site was already under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for possible safety infractions dating back to August, said Arthur Dube, OSHA area director.
He said at the site that the agency will conduct an investigation into Wednesday’s incident, which occurred as the wind gusted to 32 mph as a cold front passed through the area, according to the National Weather Service.
Virtuoso said he doubted if the wind caused the accident. The workers were reaching for some building materials being delivered to the unfinished roof by crane when they fell, he said.
“It wasn’t the cleanest work site I’ve seen,” Virtuoso said of the construction spot.------------------------------------------- posted 6:53 AM :: reference link ::
