Lead Testing Party - Reporter: Carrie Cline, WSAZ - News
“When you're a mother, you worry about toys. You’d think stuff was safe, but it's not and it's sad people don't really care,” Summer Ballard said.
That's why Summer, a United Steel worker, decided to take advantage of resources offered by her union. She’s hosting a Safe Home Session. It's a party to educate her and others about lead testing and toy safety.
Summer used a quick test to see if the toys are safe.
“If it turns pink or red, that's bad,” Summer said.
