Worker protest halts plant- Posted By ERICA BAJER, Chatham Daily News - Ontario, Canada
There was an allegation that the man hit the supervisor, he said.
'They decided they were going to give him some time off,' the worker said.
He said the man protested the proposed suspension and chained himself to the truck inside the plant before security arrived to escort him off the premises.
When word of the incident spread, the worker said 400 to 500 employees, nearly the entire plant, went to support him.
'We always stand behind our membership,' the worker said. 'Sometimes you have to say enough is enough.'------------------------------------------- posted 6:50 AM :: reference link ::
