Gophers digging Alberta man out of house and home - By Joel Kom, Canwest News Service
CALGARY - An Alberta man is going squirrelly in his battle against hordes of gophers that are chewing through his lawn and garage.
'I can see hundreds of them,' said Mark Dumont, who lives in the Copperfield area of Calgary.
'It's atrocious out there. (The exterminator) figures there's a thousand holes. He says it's being overrun.'
Dumont, a foreman for an underground construction company, is at his wit's end over the gophers - technically known as Richardson's ground squirrels - that are making a dent in his and his neighbours' south Calgary properties."------------------------------------------- posted 6:37 AM :: reference link ::
