Ullico Forces Chairman Out Amid Stock-Trading Dispute Yesterday's action sets the stage for union leaders to attempt to bring to a close a scandal that had undermined the credibility of organized labor. For union leaders seeking to criticize the Bush administration for its ties to corporate America and for its advocacy of tax cuts benefiting the wealthy, the Ullico controversy has become a major liability.
