Canada hopes for lumber win as it braces for WTO ruling The hard-line U.S. lumber lobby, which commands tremendous influence in Congress, is already preparing to lean on Washington to appeal a Canadian WTO win and drag its feet if such a challenge fails.
"Even if this panel wrongly does the same thing as the last panel . . . the United States will likely appeal that decision," U.S. lumber lobbyist John Ragosta said, vowing that the U.S. side will simply change tactics and start again with new duties.
