Quebec to host economic conference with New York in November to promote trade The premier raised the dispute over softwood lumber with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell during a brief meeting Wednesday.
"I simply said to him, 'This is an issue that we have to address and solve,' " Charest told reporters on Thursday.
