Former Ullico chairman won't testify to Congress, his lawyer says By Leigh Strope WASHINGTON (AP) The former chairman of a union-owned insurance company will refuse to testify before Congress over accusations he set up exclusive stock trades that earned some labor leaders $6 million in questionable profits.
Former Ullico Chairman Robert Georgine is scheduled to testify at Tuesday's hearing into the stock deals.
''I have advised Mr. Georgine that as long as the government's investigation remains pending, prudence dictates he assert his constitutional right to remain silent, including at tomorrow's hearing,'' said his lawyer, Randall Turk.
